Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that
a first tentative agreement has been reached with
Samsic Assistance Canada Inc. for our members in Vancouver.
Bargaining began in November 2024, with both parties meeting on several occasions to work toward a new agreement. After reaching an impasse earlier this year, the union filed for conciliation in April 2025. Last week, the union and the company met in Vancouver for three days with the assistance of a Federal Conciliator, and we are happy to report that these efforts resulted in a tentative agreement.
Details of the agreement will be shared at the upcoming
ratification meetings,
which will take place on Thursday, June 12, in the SEA TO SKY Meeting Room “A”, located on the 4th floor.
Meeting times are as follows:
0900-1100
1230-1430
1500-1700
1830-1930
All members are encouraged to attend
one of the scheduled meetings from the
start time to ensure you receive the full presentation of the agreement, have the opportunity to ask questions, and participate in the ratification vote.
