SWISSPORT VANCOUVER BARGAINING UPDATE #1 – May 27th

May 27, 2025 at 9:40 AM

Your Unifor Local 2002 Bargaining Committee met with the Company on February 24, and again on May 20 and 21, to begin the process of negotiating a renewed collective agreement.

We came to the table prepared, and we’ve already made headway. Both parties exchanged non-monetary proposals, and your committee has worked through the majority of these with the employer. We engaged in serious, meaningful conversations about important workplace issues—issues that matter to you and every member of this union. These talks represent progress and reaffirm our shared commitment to protecting and advancing your rights on the job.

In our most recent sessions, your bargaining team tabled a strong monetary package focused on real improvements—fair wages, enhanced benefits, and key economic gains that recognize the value you bring every single day. The employer has received our proposals and committed to reviewing them thoroughly. We now await confirmation of the next bargaining dates, where we expect a comprehensive response.

Make no mistake: we are approaching these negotiations with strength, unity, and purpose. Our priorities are clear—because they’re your priorities. And we will not back down until we’ve secured a fair, respectful, and just agreement that delivers real gains for our members.

We are strongest when we stand together. Your continued support and solidarity fuel every move we make at the table. Let’s keep that collective power front and centre.

In solidarity,
Your Unifor Local 2002 Bargaining Committee
