Swissport Vancouver Members Ratify new three-year agreement

Following the in-person ratification meetings, on August 30, 2022, in Vancouver, the Bargaining Committee wishes to announce that Unifor Local 2002 members employed at Swissport Vancouver, have ratified their new three-year collective agreement. The members voted 54 percent in favour of the new agreement. The term of the agreement is valid from March 28, 2022, to March 27, 2025.
 
 “With our members’ strong voices and support during negotiations along with a strong strike mandate we were able to ensure that the issues that mattered most to the membership were addressed in this agreement, said Tammy Moore, President Unifor Local 2002”. “It is when we stand together in solidarity there are no limits to what we can accomplish”.
 
Highlights of the Agreement Include:
  • Wage increases immediately upon ratification 17 to 24 percent increase
  • Two (2) percent wage increases in each year of the agreement (2023 and 2024)

Swissport Vancouver has been serving airlines at Vancouver International Airport since 2005.
Unifor Local 2002 represents over 125 members at Swissport Vancouver. Members provide airport ground handling services at the Vancouver International Airport which includes: 
  • Check-In and Gate processing
  • Passenger Mobility
  • Ticketing
  •  Baggage Handling and Flight Coordinators
