There has been a recent ruling by the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) advising that all employees at A.S.P. Billy Bishop Airport - with the exception of supervisors and persons above the rank of supervisor - are now represented by Unifor and its Local 2002 as their workplace union.
In the coming week, Unifor representatives will be at Billy Bishop Airport to meet with members and discuss any workplace related issues or concerns. This will be a first opportunity for our leadership team to introduce themselves and gauge how Unifor can best serve you going forward.
"We are thrilled to welcome A.S.P. Security members at Billy Bishop Airport to Unifor," said Local 2002 President Tammy Moore. "The addition of A.S.P. Security employees at Billy Bishop Airport strengthens our growing aviation sector membership and reinforces the importance of worker solidarity across Unifor. We welcome you with open arms and look forward to building a productive relationship that delivers real gains at the bargaining table and ensures every member has a strong voice at work."
