ASP Security Members: Upcoming Schedule Bid
ASP Security Members: Upcoming Schedule Bid
October 9, 2024 at 8:30 AM
Thank you for your continued support. As you are aware, our new collective agreement includes language that establishes a union scheduling committee, comprised of ASP members, to collaborate with the company on meeting operational requirements. The goal of this committee is to develop schedules that better accommodate the needs of our members while ensuring the company’s operational demands are met.
As this is new language within the agreement, there have been some challenges in applying it to the current scheduling process. We acknowledge and recognize that the feedback process from the scheduling committee could have been better organized, and we will ensure that the takeaways from this year will help in next year’s bid feedback process. Both the company and the union have carefully reviewed your feedback regarding the schedule recently posted for bidding later this week.
We are actively working together to adjust the schedule in a way that aligns more closely with the preferences of ASP members while still meeting operational needs. ASP management is considering the feedback they received from the employees and is working on updating possible changes while still meeting the client's needs. We greatly appreciate your input and patience in navigating these scheduling concerns. The company and the union remain committed to finding a solution that benefits our members.
Please be advised that the ASP management team will send communication regarding changes in the shift bid along with revised Shift Bid dates by the end of this week. The shift bid shared will be final. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Mr. Noman Butt or Mr. Andrew Catney upon receiving the bid.
Best Regards,
Unifor Local 2002 Leadership and ASP Management
