Aeroplan Bargaining Committee – Montréal & Vancouver

Aeroplan Bargaining Committee – Montréal & Vancouver

June 23, 2009 at 11:30 AM
The non-standing bargaining committee for upcoming Aeroplan negotiations will, in addition to the Local President, be comprised of four additional members: the District Chairpersons from Montréal and Vancouver as well as one elected member from each region.

Bargaining will commence after the election of these two additional committee members.

The non-standing bargaining committee, upon ratification of the collective agreement, will return to the workplace and have no further responsibility except as a potential resource for the District Chairpersons. They will not attend UMHQ’s or be involved in the grievance procedure.

Daily Union-Management interactions outside of bargaining are handled by the district officers.

Aeroplan has committed (outside of district officer hours) an additional 80 hours per week, representing the previous Air Canada bargaining committee hours, to CAW Local 2002 for union activities.
