Aeroplan Bargaining Update

Aeroplan Bargaining Update

October 19, 2015 at 7:00 AM

Collective bargaining talks formally opened in Montreal last week between Unifor and Aeroplan. The one-day meeting consisted of both parties exchanging non-monetary proposals and also allowed the committees to review future meetings dates.

The Unifor bargaining committee would like to acknowledge the support and encouragement of the membership who carried out successful solidarity events in both Vancouver and Montreal last week. As we continue with the bargaining process, a strong and unified membership will be paramount to our success at the bargaining table.

In an effort to keep you informed, we ask that you subscribe to our e-news service. The committee will be sending out regular updates that will be delivered directly to your email inbox. If you have not subscribed already, please do so at www.unifor2002.org and click the SUBSCRIBE icon.

Stay informed and direct any questions or concerns to your district chairperson or regional bargaining committee member.

The current collective agreement between Unifor and Aeroplan expires November 14, 2015.

Unifor is Canada’s largest union in the private sector, representing more than 310,000 workers. It was formed Labour Day weekend 2013 when the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers unions merged.
