Montréal and Vancouver Aeroplan’s Bargaining Committee will be a non-standing committee.
Per Bylaw article
4.14.01 (b); Non-Standing Bargaining Committees upon ratification of the collective agreement will return to the workplace. They may be used as a resource for the District Chair.
For any member who wishes to be nominated for the position of Bargaining Committee; once bargaining is completed, would return to their position in the workplace. Only when called upon, would they be utilized as a resource.
Any officer other than District Chairperson (which is automatically on the bargaining committee) may be nominated.
For example, if a Vice Chair was nominated and won the election, they would sit in bargaining; then when the tentative agreement is ratified, would return to their workplace and resume their Vice Chair role as well as their position in the Aeroplan office.
Nominations close on June 17th.
