Air Canada CES Members: Air Canada Bargaining Committee Updates

Air Canada CES Members: Air Canada Bargaining Committee Updates

July 24, 2025 at 5:14 PM

Over the past month, your newly elected Bargaining Committee at Air Canada has been working diligently to get up to speed with several ongoing matters. We’ve been organizing ourselves to effectively represent members on grievances and arbitrations and holding discussions on the best ways to maintain consistent communication across the Air Canada membership.

Planning for the Future
As we approach the expiration of our current collective agreement, preliminary planning has already begun. In September, we’ll be putting together a comprehensive plan to guide our next steps.

This will include:
  • Drafting a member survey
  • Setting dates for proposal meetings
  • Planning committee sessions to review feedback from those meetings

Staying in Touch: District Chairs
Your elected District Chair is your primary contact and ensures that the collective agreement is being upheld while staying in close communication with the membership. They play an essential role in keeping us informed about the work environment and the issues members face daily.

To improve the flow of information, the bargaining committee will host monthly conference calls with District Chairs from all locations. This will allow them to share their experiences and ensure that we remain connected with all the challenges facing members.

Get to Know Your Collective Agreement
We strongly encourage all members to take the time to familiarize themselves with our current collective agreement. Understanding it will make you better prepared to provide valuable feedback during proposal meetings.

To help with this, we’ve provided a link to the agreement in PDF format. You can download it to your device for easy access:  Current Collective Agreement PDF

Get Involved & Stay Informed
We are committed to an open and transparent bargaining process, and we encourage every member to fully engage in it. If you know someone who hasn’t subscribed to the Unifor2002.org website, please encourage them to do so. Staying updated is key to staying informed.

In Solidarity,
