Joanne Goulet Appointed to National Service Representative – Marilyne Boettger Appointed to Air Canada Western Bargaining Representative
We are pleased to announce that Joanne Goulet has been appointed to the position of National Service Representative in the Edmonton, Alberta, National office, effective May 6, 2024.
Joanne's journey with Local 2002 has been marked by a commitment to the representation of our members. Serving as the Western Bargaining Representative for over 9 years, Joanne has demonstrated dedication and advocacy on behalf of our Air Canada members in the Region.
Joanne's career spans back to 1984, and has seen her assume various pivotal roles, from Cargo and Ticketing to Lead Customer Service and Sales Agent. Her understanding of scheduling intricacies and committee dynamics, coupled with her tenure as a Bargaining Representative, underscores her expertise.
In her new capacity, Joanne will undertake the responsibility of representing Locals and units throughout Alberta.
The Western Region vacancy on the Air Canada Bargaining Committee will be filled per the Unifor Local 2002 bylaws:
Article 4.15.06 – In the event a vacancy occurs among the Bargaining Committee, the appropriate Vice-President, subject to the approval of the Executive Board, may appoint or instruct the elections committee to issue Writs of Election to fill such vacancy for the term of office.
As Joanne transitions to her new role, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Marilyne Boettger, from Air Canada Calgary Airport to the position of Western Bargaining Representative. Marilyne's experience and dedication make her a great fit for this position, and we look forward to supporting her in her new role.
