Recently the company issued a bulletin which has caused some confusion among our Unifor Local 2002 members.
The following bulletin is to clarify that there are no changes to our current benefit plan with the insurer.
Unfortunately, the company’s bulletin appears to have been issued to all Air Canada company employees. Unifor Mainline Air Canada members do not "select" or change benefits. Our benefit coverage is universal.
There are some additional insurance coverage(s) that are now available for purchase. The company bulletin provided a list of dates and cities for a road show for those wishing to attend in person. We recommend that prior to purchasing any additional insurance items, one should review their financial needs, and further review all options available in the marketplace.
