Your Unifor Local 2002 Bargaining Committee met with the Company on May 9th, 22nd, and 23rd to begin negotiations for a renewed collective agreement.
Both parties exchanged their non-monetary proposals, and we would like to report that significant progress was made, with the majority of items being resolved to our satisfaction. This marks an important step forward in ensuring your rights and working conditions are protected and respected.
On May 23rd, your committee presented the monetary package, outlining key improvements to wages, benefits, and other economic matters that reflect the value of your work. The Company has received our proposals and has committed to reviewing them. We are awaiting confirmation of the next bargaining dates, where we expect their full response.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to achieving a fair and respectful agreement that addresses the priorities you identified. We are negotiating with strength and unity, backed by the support of the membership.
We will continue to keep you informed as talks progress. Your solidarity is our greatest strength at the bargaining table.
In solidarity,
