We are pleased to inform you that our CLS Catering members have overwhelmingly voted in favour of a strike, with
97% supporting the action. You have given the Bargaining Committee strong support to negotiate on your behalf. This strong mandate reflects our collective dissatisfaction with the Company's minimal wage increase offer and the lack of appreciation for their hard work.
Our dedicated members are the backbone of meal preparation, cooking, and packaging for numerous airlines. Despite the crucial role we play in ensuring top-quality meals are delivered on board, the Company continues to undervalue and disrespect our contributions.
CLS Catering workplace is comprised of over 335 unionized members who work tirelessly across three continuous shifts to meet the demands of both international and domestic airlines. It is time for our members to be compensated fairly and to feel truly valued for the essential work they perform each day.
In late May, both the Company and the Union filed for conciliation. We are prepared to negotiate a fair deal in the upcoming meetings scheduled for
July 9 and 10.
We will keep you updated on any developments. Thank you for your continued support of the Bargaining Committee.
