Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with CLS Catering in Vancouver. The agreement was reached on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, with the assistance of Provincial Mediator - Grant McArthur. The Union and Company were able to come to a mediated settlement on the outstanding issues. The agreement is subject to ratification by the members of CLS Catering.
"I am pleased that we have been able to come to an equitable agreement with CLS Catering, one that recognizes the hard work that our CLS members perform on a daily basis. I wish to commend the Bargaining Committee for their resolve in addressing the complex issues, and the mediator Grant McArthur, who was able to assist both parties reach a positive result," said Euila Leonard, President of Unifor Local 2002.
Members will have an opportunity to vote on the agreement on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 (details of meeting times and locations to follow). Full details of the tentative agreement will be provided to the membership at the ratification meetings.
Members are encouraged to attend these meetings to hear contract details and to vote on this tentative deal. The Committee will be available at the meetings to answer any questions/concerns the members may have.
