Unifor Local 2002 wishes to announce that voting on the CLS Catering collective agreement concluded this evening, the results of the ratification votes have been tabulated and the tentative agreement recommended by the CLS Catering Bargaining Committee has been accepted. Members voted
72 percent in favour of the new two-year agreement. The new agreement is in effect until
April 30, 2024.
"After many months of hard work and commitment, we are pleased to see our CLS members ratify an agreement that supports substantial wage increases at a time of rising costs. CLS members have been working tirelessly over the past two years and deserved an agreement that rewards them for their commitment to the aviation industry", said Tammy Moore – President of Unifor Local 2002. "This two-year agreement will allow our members to continue to focus on providing outstanding in-flight food service to the airlines. Congratulations to the CLS Bargaining Committee for the long hours they put in to get this deal accomplished and to the entire CLS membership for demanding better and standing in solidarity and support of their union".
Highlights from the agreement include wage improvements for the next two years of the agreement – which are effective as of
May 1, 2022:
- 4.25 percent wage increase in the first year and a 2.5 percent wage increase in the second year.
- Benefits and Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) were maintained in the new agreement
