Canadian North negotiations update
Canadian North negotiations update
March 27, 2013 at 3:51 PM
The Canadian North bargaining committee met with the company on March 19 and 20, 2013. The committee continues to press the company for progressive language changes to the collective agreement and to resolve outstanding vacation grievances.
The next confirmed dates for negotiations are scheduled for April 23 and 24 in Edmonton, Alberta.
The current collective agreement for approximately 175 Canadian North customer service agents expired on December 31, 2012 and remains in effect until a new agreement is bargained and ratified by the membership.
The committee will continue to provide further information on the CAW Local 2002 website. We urge members to subscribe to e-news for current and convenient updates. Please contact a member of the bargaining committee if you have any questions or concerns.
In solidarity,
Your Canadian North Bargaining Committee:
Aida Kirameddine
Darryl Draeger, Executive Assistant
Bruce Snow, CAW National Representative
