Following the ratification meetings held in Halifax, NS, and Gander, NL, on June 5 and 6, 2019, Unifor is pleased to announce that the members at EVAS have voted to ratify a new collective agreement, concluding five months of grueling negotiations.

The agreement was ratified with a vote of 84 percent. This agreement replaces the previous agreement, which expired on February 4, 2019. The term of the agreement extends to February 4, 2022.

"Negotiations were not always easy, nonetheless, I'm pleased that the members of EVAS have overwhelming ratified this agreement. Together we achieved progress on our bargaining agenda, including; wage increases each year of the collective agreement, gains in premiums, per diems, and premium pay for certain schedule changes. While gains were made, there are still improvements that we will continue to strive for and build upon in the coming years", said Euila Leonard President of Unifor Local 2002.
