Your Unifor Bargaining Committee has requested an extension from the employer for the implementation date of the communication software, Send Word Now (SWN), until the next UMHQ.
Unfortunately, Jazz has come back to Unifor with a start date of February 1, 2025. Your Bargaining Committee is disappointed by the short runway provided, however, Unifor will continue to communicate on the members’ behalf of their displeasure with the employer’s unilateral decision to implement the software. Local 2002 and the national union are working together to find the best path forward as this process unfolds.
The Union stands in solidarity with all members, and we will continue to fight for your rights and interests under the collective agreement.
