PASS District 266: Important Update on Facilitators Group

PASS District 266: Important Update on Facilitators Group

February 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Dear Members,

Unifor is pleased to announce that Unifor has officially been issued the bargaining certificate for the Facilitators group at PASS Calgary Airport, effective immediately.

The bargaining certificate legally recognizes Unifor as the bargaining agent for the Facilitators group, meaning that Unifor is authorized to represent these members in collective bargaining.

Please contact the National Organizing Department for any questions on this election.

Election of Bargaining Committee Representative

Unifor’s National Organizing Department will be conducting an election to select a bargaining committee representative specifically from the Facilitators group. The elected representative will work with the elected PASS Screening Officers bargaining committee, in order to represent the best interests of the Facilitators' members.

Important:
It should be noted that this elected position will have a voice and vote on the bargaining committee.

Details regarding this upcoming election will be communicated via Unifor National Organizing Department. We encourage all Facilitators members to participate in this important process.

Appointing a PASS Security Officer Member to the Bargaining Committee

President Tammy Moore has appointed former District Chair/Bargaining Committee Chairperson, Kelly Wilson to the District 266 Bargaining Committee to ensure continuity with the bargaining process. This appointment is effective immediately until the ratification of the Collective Agreement.

Kelly has been integral part of this bargaining committee and the process. Her knowledge of what has transpired to date will strengthen our position at the bargaining table.

Important:
It should be noted that this appointed position will have a voice but no vote on the bargaining committee.

Article 4.15.04
of the Unifor Local 2002 bylaws states:

The President may appoint additional members to the Bargaining Committee to reflect the membership’s diversity, in particular the factors of geography, gender, experience, sexual orientation and job functions. Appointed members shall be official members of the committee only during bargaining and shall not have a vote on the Committee.

Having an additional group of members joining the existing bargaining unit strengthens our voice in the workplace. This is a positive step and will assist in negotiating a new Screening Officers / Facilitators collective bargaining agreement.

We look forward to this next phase. Further updates will be provided as the election and bargaining process moves forward.

Further updates will be communicated via the Unifor Local 2002 website and e-news.

In Solidarity,

Tammy Moore
President
Unifor Local 2002
