The Unifor Local 2002 District 266 bargaining committee met with the Company last week for three days of collective bargaining. While some progress was made, several non-monetary items remain under discussion. Both parties continue to work toward completing this stage of bargaining in preparation for the exchange of monetary proposals.
As is customary in the bargaining process, non-monetary items are addressed first. Once these matters are finalized, the parties will exchange monetary proposals and begin negotiations on those proposals. Monetary proposals include any items that carry a financial impact, such as wage increases, breaks, shift scheduling, and vacation, to name a few.
The bargaining committee remains hopeful that further progress will be achieved with the assistance of the appointed Conciliator, Andrew Wright.
Our goal remains unchanged: to reach a tentative Collective Agreement that can be presented to the membership for consideration through a ratification vote.
The next scheduled bargaining dates with the Company are November 25, 26, and 27, 2025.
Members of the District 266 bargaining committee wish to express their sincere appreciation for the continued encouragement and support received from the membership throughout this process. Bargaining proposal meetings began in January 2025, and the committee recognizes the patience and solidarity shown by members as we approach the one-year mark. We would also like to remind members that discussions taking place at the bargaining table are confidential; therefore, neither the Union nor the Company representatives are in a position to share specific details at this time.
