PASS District 266: Update on the revised AMP policy

PASS District 266: Update on the revised AMP policy

May 6, 2026 at 4:30 PM

Unifor District 266 Members,

Yesterday, members received the revised Attendance Management Program (AMP) policy from PASS by email. While the policy is confusing to read, the Union has been advised by the Company that members currently on the old AMP program will be transferred laterally into the new AMP process as follows:

  • Phase 1 moves to Entry Phase

  • Phase 2 moves to AIP Phase

  • Phase 3 moves to Final Warning Phase

  • Phase 4 moves to Exit Phase

This means that, even though members were previously told the old AMP program was not disciplinary and therefore not subject to the grievance process, members are now being moved into active discipline at an elevated level, without proper recognition of progressive discipline.

Unifor strongly objects to the lack of progressive discipline and the lack of clear parameters in this new policy. Today, the Union filed a grievance regarding the new AMP policy that was sent to members on May 5, 2026.

It is important to note that the grievance process can be slow. In the meantime, we encourage any members who find themselves in the AMP process to focus on improving their attendance while the Union addresses this matter through the grievance process.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out or visit the Unifor office.

In solidarity,
Beverly Elfner, District Chairperson
