Earlier this week, your District 266 PASS bargaining committee met with Unifor National Representative Joanne Goulet, Local 2002 Vice President Jan Sills, and Local 2002 Assistant to the President Harold Bateman, to begin preparations for the next round of collective bargaining.
This productive, full-day meeting allowed the committee to establish plans and strategies for moving forward collectively. As part of this process, an online bargaining survey will soon be distributed to the membership. This survey is designed to help prioritize key topics for the District 266 membership, and guide the committee in their objectives.
During this week’s meeting, the bargaining committee was officially sworn in by Joanne Goulet, with committee members pledging to maintain strict confidentiality throughout the bargaining process. We remind all members that any rumors concerning negotiations that circulate during this time do not originate from Unifor committee and should not be considered credible. Accurate information will only be shared at ratification meetings after a tentative agreement has been reached.
In the New Year, proposal meetings will be scheduled, giving members an opportunity to present detailed suggestions and feedback on topics not covered by the survey.
We deeply appreciate the trust you have placed in the bargaining committee and Unifor remains committed to achieving the best possible outcome for the membership at the bargaining table.
