Dear District 298 Perimeter Members,
We would like to extend our appreciation to each and every one of you for your continued support and solidarity. Your collective strength and commitment to each other is what makes our union strong and effective.
As we work through ongoing workplace issues, it is important to remember that respect and a healthy work/life balance is essential for everyone, including our management team. Unless there is an urgent issue, please try to minimize contacting management outside of regular working hours. By fostering mutual respect, we can create a more positive and productive workplace for all.
Our collective agreement has language pertaining to when you are on reserve and assigned a flight. It is imperative that you do not challenge the Operations Coordinators. If you encounter any issues with your schedule, please immediately inform one of your district union representatives. They are here to support you and will investigate any concerns. Should they find any violations of the collective agreement, they will file a grievance on your behalf.
Remember, our approach must be to "work now, grieve later." This ensures that our employer’s operations continue smoothly while we address any issues through the proper channels.
