Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that Perimeter Aviation (Pilots) have ratified their first Unifor collective agreement by seventy-one percent since merging with Unifor in 2016.

Seventy-Eight percent of the membership attended the ratification meeting held at Winnipeg's Victoria Inn on February 10, 2017.

Negotiated gains:

  • Wage increase retroactive to April 1, 2015

  • Increases to per diems

  • Detailed grievance and arbitration process

  • General improvement to working conditions

  • Improvements to medivac switch out times

  • Additional passes for Thompson

  • Protected hours and days of work

  • Training bonds

Additionally, the company wanted concessions on existing language:

  • Unlimited sick days, spare times, and 16 day working cap/month etc.

The Unifor bargaining committee held strong and were able to ensure no changes affected current benefits enjoyed by the membership.

"Your bargaining committee – Matt Brooker and Eric Ketonen – did a tremendous job in what was a challenging situation," said Unifor 2002 President Cheryl Robinson. "EIC [parent company Exchange Income Corporation] was difficult to bargain with. Our Perimeter Pilot group are loyal and dedicated professionals and should be rewarded for their contribution to the success of Perimeter Aviation."

The term of the agreement is valid from February, 2017 to February, 2022.

In Solidarity,
