Following the membership’s rejection of the recent contract offer, Unifor and Propair convened to discuss next steps and review concerns brought forward by members. Your message was clear: improvements were needed in order to move forward with a tentative agreement that better reflects the value of the work you perform every day.
As a result of those discussions, the company has now presented what it has identified as a new and final contract offer.
Your bargaining committee will be reviewing the details of this final offer with the membership during upcoming virtual Microsoft Teams membership meetings scheduled next week. These meetings will provide all members with the opportunity to hear directly from the bargaining committee, ask questions, and fully understand the contents of the proposed final offer before a ratification vote takes place.
IMPORTANT
It is important that every member participate in this process. You cannot vote unless you attend one of the virtual meetings.
Members must also understand the importance of the upcoming vote. Should the employer’s final offer be rejected, this vote will be considered a mandate for Unifor’s bargaining committee to use additional pressure tactics – including a strike – to move the negotiations forward and secure a collective agreement that better meets members’ expectations and priorities. It is therefore essential that every member fully understand the implications of their decision, as this vote will determine the next steps in the bargaining process.
Your bargaining committee remains committed to securing the best possible agreement for all members, while ensuring the priorities expressed by the membership continue to guide this process. Strike action is always the last option when negotiating a collective agreement.
Virtual Teams meetings will take place as follows:
JUNE 8, 2026
1800 to 1930 Eastern Time
JUNE 9, 2026
2000 to 2130 Eastern Time
JUNE 10, 2026
1800 to 1930 Eastern Time
Login details regarding virtual meetings will be communicated in a follow up e-mail in the coming days.
In solidarity,
Your Unifor Bargaining Committee
