Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that the Samsic members in Vancouver have ratified their first tentative agreement. Bargaining for this agreement began in the fall of 2024, and we reached this agreement following many months of negotiations.
Members
overwhelmingly voted 90.5 percent in favour of the new three-year agreement. This significant milestone highlights the unity and determination of our membership in securing improved wages, benefits and working conditions.
"With this first tentative agreement, we've set a solid foundation for the future of our Samsic Vancouver members. This milestone is a testament to the power of collective bargaining and the support of our members. Together, we've taken the first step toward building a stronger, more equitable workplace." — Tammy Moore, President, Unifor Local 2002.
A heartfelt thank you to all the members who attended the ratification meetings; your questions and commitment were instrumental in shaping this agreement and amplifying our collective voice.
