On Friday, August 26th, your bargaining committee met virtually with the employer and the mediator
Kim Beemer. Discussions were productive and continue to move along in a positive direction, however, we are still far apart on the important issues that directly affect our membership. The parties will continue to negotiate and exchange proposals electronically.
SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2022 - MAINTENANCE OF ACTIVITIES AGREEMENT
A call has been set up for
September 1st with the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) to discuss with the parties the file and determine the next steps regarding the Maintenance of Activities agreement.
Your bargaining committee assures you that we are making every effort to negotiate
in good faith with the employer and we are working very hard to deliver the best first collective agreement that we can recommend to the membership.
