As announced in the media, Icelandic budget airline WOW Air ceased operations on
Thursday, March 28, 2019. Our members at Swissport in Montreal and Toronto provided the ground handling services for WOW Air.
We would like to inform our members in Montreal and Toronto that this announcement will have
no effect on their employment with Swissport. The Company has reassured the Union that there will be
no lay-offs with this announcement. The Union will continue to work with the Company to ensure our member’s best interests are considered as we move forward.
