The Swissport Bargaining Committee met with the Company from June 16 to June 18. We are pleased to report that our non-monetary proposals were presented, and as of today, we have successfully concluded this first phase of negotiations.
Following this initial progress, we moved straight forward and presented our monetary proposals to management.
NEXT STEPS IN THE PROCESS
Upcoming Sessions: We scheduled a continuation of the bargaining process for early July to focus directly on our monetary proposals.
Confidentiality: We cannot share the specific details agreed to during this first phase. Keeping these details confidential until the entire deal is complete is a standard practice that protects our leverage at the table.
The Final Decision: Once we reach a comprehensive tentative agreement with the Company on all proposals, we will schedule a ratification meeting for the entire membership.
Looking Ahead: At the upcoming ratification meeting, the Bargaining Committee will present all the non-monetary and monetary language negotiated with the Company. Every member will have the opportunity to review the details and vote on the tentative agreement.
Until then, we will keep you updated on our progress at the bargaining table. Thank you for your continued solidarity and support.
In Solidarity,
Your Swissport Toronto Bargaining Committee
