Your bargaining committee met with the Company and the Conciliation Officer on July 27 & 28, 2022. Unfortunately, it did not result in a “deal”. Monetary provisions are the outstanding issues that we are facing, the current offer from the Company is not enough and they need to do better. We have presented the Company with a fair wage package that we feel will benefit our members at Swissport, it’s up to the Company to deliver.
We have advised the Company that we will not be extending the conciliation process, the cooling-off period ends on August 30
th at midnight and we will be in a legal strike position on
August 31st.
The parties, including the Conciliator, have agreed to meet in Vancouver from
August 17 to 19, 2022. We remain optimistic and committed to getting our members a fair and equitable agreement.
