Asian Heritage Month 2022
UNIFOR LOCAL 2002 WANTS TO HEAR YOUR STORIES
May is Asian Heritage Month. Asian culture is colorful, fascinating, beautiful and culturally diverse. This month is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Canadians of Asian descent and honour those traditions that have been passed on from generation to generation – traditions that shape the history and lives of all of our Asian sisters and brothers.
The Unifor Local 2002 Aboriginal and Workers of Colour Committee is preparing a short video and publication to showcase the achievements, contributions and traditions of the many Asian sisters and brothers who form part of our Local.
The Committee is asking for members to share stories about their customs, culture and experiences as proud Canadians of Asian heritage.
Members can submit their stories in a short video (less than 1 minute) or send an email/letter with your personal story. Please be sure to include a photo.
The deadline to submit content is: Friday, May 6, 2022.
