Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce with the recent changes to the tentative agreement the members of Flair Airlines have ratified their first three-year collective agreement. More than 91 percent of the membership voted on the tentative agreement with a majority of 85 percent endorsing it, signaling broad engagement by the membership.

The new contract and resulting wage increases will be applied retroactively to June 15, 2018. Unifor Local 2002 represents approximately 55 pilots at Flair Airlines, Canada’s Ultra-Low-Cost Carrier.

Congratulations to the members for ratifying their first Unifor Collective Agreement. Thank you to the Bargaining Committee for their determination in bringing forward the mandate of the membership,” said Euila Leonard, President of Local 2002. “After a long round of bargaining including a change in the owner and CEO, the committee was successful in achieving a good agreement. This agreement provides improvements to members work-life balance which was a priority for our members. This is an agreement that we can build on in the future.”

The Bargaining Committee would like to thank the entire membership who took the time to participate in the ratification meetings and ratified this first Collective Agreement.
